Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED (WILF) WILLIAM BOLLENBACH On Friday, October 3, 2003 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Wilf Bollenbach, aged 65 years of Selkirk. Wilf was born on April 12, 1938 in Winkler, MB. He grew up in Morden where he attended both elementary and high school. He moved to Winnipeg in 1956 and worked for Burns Meat Packers for two years. In 1958 Wilf moved to Brandon to train as a Psychiatric Nurse and graduated from Brandon Mental Health Center in 1962. Wilf and Joan were married in 1960 and in 1964 they moved to Clandeboye. In 1966 Wilf and his family established their residence in Selkirk; also that year he was employed as a Community Mental Health Worker and spent the rest of his working career serving several communities in Northeast Manitoba until his retirement in 1998. He leaves surviving his wife of 43 years, Joan; his son Brian; sisters, Eileen (Wayne) and Karen (Clarence) both of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Ida Brandt of Airdrie, AB; and nieces, Carol, Angela, Lauren and Alyson. He was predeceased by his brother Edwin Brandt in December of 2002. At Wilfs request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with Rev. Jim Hatherly officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Ste. 6, 200 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
