ERNIE BUCHHOLZER Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of our father, brother, and friend Ernie Buchholzer on September 30, 2003 at the Vita and District Health Centre. Ernie is survived by his son Todd (Jennifer) his wife in separation Patricia; sisters, Shirley Burant (Ben) and Ruth Szaroz (Ron) and brothers, John Buchholzer (Dee) and George Berenyi. He was predeceased by his father Michael Buchholzer, mother Katherine Berenyi, and stepfather George Berenyi. Ernie was born in Melville, SK on August 1, 1938. He moved to Winnipeg where he worked for CNCP Telegraphs and later managed the CNCP Telegraphers Credit Union. He moved on to become the Notre Dame Avenue Branch manager of the Co-operators Credit Union. In 1985 Ernie moved to Sprague, MB to manage the Sprague Credit Union. Ernie loved the town, people of Sprague and resided there until his death. In accordance with Ernies wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. His ashes will be spread in the Sprague area with a gathering of his family and close friends to be arranged in the weeks ahead. The family would like to thank the staff at the Vita and District Health Centre, Concordia Hospital, the Health Sciences Centre, and DeSalaberry District Health Centre (St. Pierre). These dedicated and caring people enabled Ernie to attend his sons wedding in May, enjoy a trip back home to see his family in Melville, to return to live in his home in Sprague, and when he fell ill for the last time, provided Ernie with the highest level of care and compassion possible. The family extends our most sincere thanks to all of you who cared for Ernie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernies memory to the Vita and District Health Centre Foundation Inc., Box 222, Vita, MB R0A 2K0 or to the Concordia Hospital Foundation Inc., 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8, Ph. 661 7156. Dad, we are so deeply saddened to see you go, but you will never be lost in our memories. We love you.
