STEVE OYSTRECK It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Steve Oystreck. Steve passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2003, with his wife and children by his side. Steve was predeceased by his parents; sister Marie; and brother Bobby. He will be sadly missed by his wife Kay; and children, Len (Laurie), Louella (Kim), Glenn (Donna), Gwen (Wayne), Arlene (Randy), Darrell (Jacki) sister Jane; and brothers, George and John; as well, he leaves 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren to mourn his passing. Steve was born on December 8, 1929, in Rhein District of Saskatchewan. He married in 1950 and settled into farming at Dneiper, SK. He moved to Winnipeg in 1957 and made a career in the trucking business. Steve spent most of his life playing music and was an excellent fiddle and cymbaly player. He recorded with many well known artists. Prayers will be held on Sunday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. A funeral service celebrating Steves life will be held on Monday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m., also in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the palliative home care staff for their support and a special thanks to Myrna.
