ASCHER RICK SOLOMON May 25, 1933 - September 20, 2003 After fighting bravely a lengthy illness, Rick passed away with his family by his side. Rick is survived by his beloved wife Rica, his partner and best friend for 47 years. His adored children and grandchildren. Noel (Andrea), Rachel, Alexa and Eli Solomon. Carole (David), Hart and Matthew Garfield. His only brother Fred (Malca) Solomon and their children and grandchildren. Leora (Kerry) and Madison Pearlman. Ruth (Perry) Elliot and Ari Kimelman. His dear uncle Frank Solomon; mother-in-law Etty Bihman, whom he loved dearly and many other uncles and cousins. His business partner and best friend, Denis (Sonia) Rochon and Radclyffe Rochon with whom he shared a special relationship. Predeceased by his parents, Rose and Moishe Solomon; auntie Getta Solomon; father-in-law Haim Bihman and cousin Al Pincovich. Rick had a wonderful life, he enjoyed the beauty of nature, his garden of roses, his home, travelling extensively, music, dancing, good food and good company. He enjoyed having his children and grandchildren over for Friday night dinners. His professional life was very fulfilling, he was associated with Canada Life for 38 years as manager and executive consultant and a broker in later years. His devotion to his clients was remarkable and very rewarding. He belonged to many organizations, professionally and to Ort and Ben Gurion University. The family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Maksymiak for his excellent care which prolonged Ricks life and always gave him hope. The wonderful staff at CancerCare that were so compassionate and supportive. Funeral services were held at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on September 21 at 12:30 p.m. with interment at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. His pallbearers were Dr. Bobby Goldberg, Dr. Perry Kimelman, Rubin Mayer, Charles Shore, Adrian Solomon, Leon Pincovich and Murray Palay.
