LENA STROCEN Mrs. Lena Strocen (nee Mykytyshyn) of Yorkton, SK and formerly of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2003 at the age of 82 years. Lena was predeceased by her husband Paul Strocen; and her parents, Harry and Anna Mykytyshyn. She leaves to mourn her passing, her son Elgin (Carol) Strocen of Yorkton and their children, Michele of Yorkton and Mitchell (Taryn) of Calgary, AB; her brothers, Fred (Helen) of Winnipeg, Roy (Betty) of Winnipeg and John (Alice) of Hamilton, ON; her sisters, Stephie (Ed) Sumka of Winnipeg and Sophie Ritz of Hamilton; many nieces and nephews; as well as many friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress, Winnipeg. Interment will follow in the Green Acres Memorial Garden, Winnipeg. Donations in Lenas memory may be made to the Parkland Ability Centre, Yorkton as tokens of remembrance. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Christie-Hill Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Yorkton, SK.
