Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA FLORENCE SOLAR It is with great sadness that the Solar family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Stella on October 2, 2003, at the Health Sciences Centre. She was predeceased by her loving husband Nicholas in October 1989. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lloyd (Fran), Charlotte (Emile) grandchildren, Timothy (Naoki), Christopher (Sue), Jonathan and Justyn; great-granddaughter Kate. Stella was born in Melrose, MB, and attended school there. She was a member of the Roman Catholics Parish in Cooks Creek. As a young girl she worked at the Sanatorium in Ninette, MB, and she also worked as a health care aide at the St. Boniface Hospital. Since her marriage to Nick in 1933, she had resided in Hazelridge, MB, until her passing. She always greeted visitors with a warm heart. In spite of many adversities, she maintained her young at heart attitude with her good sense of humour and her feistiness which enabled her to reside in her own home. Her philosophy in life was "If theres a will, theres a way." She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Surviving from her immediate family is sister Jean; and brother Lawrence (Jennifer) and sister-in-law Helen; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Birds Hill Park, Father S. Gacki officiating. The family offers heartfelt thanks to all her wonderful neighbours and health care professionals who were there for Stella. Stella - we love you You will be sorely missed
