CLARISSA ROBERTA (CHRIS) FINDLATER (nee ADAMS) On Friday, October 3, 2003, Chris Findlater, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister entered into Eternal Rest at the Middlechurch Home at 85 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill, in 1953; son Barry in 1966; granddaughter Krista; brothers, Jack, Charlie, Tom and Bill; sisters Florence, Marjorie, Inez and Estelle. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by sons, Jim (Peggy), Bill (Peg) daughter Mary Lynn (Gerry) Wilson; grandchildren Pat (Patty), Leah (John), Ian (Sonya), Will, Jenna, Leslie and Brent; four great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy, Amy and Joyce (Morris) and many relatives and friends. Chris was born March 7, 1918 to Wesley and Estelle Adams at Gilbert Plains, MB. She married Bill in 1938 and raised her family in Gilbert Plains. In 1969 she moved to Winnipeg and was employed in the Education Library at the University of Manitoba until her retirement in 1980. In August 2001, Chris moved to Middlechurch Care Home, where she resided until her passing. In addition to her love of family, Chris enjoyed music, especially playing the piano, and visiting with her many friends. Cremation has taken place as per Chriss wishes. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB with Rev. Lynne Austin officiating. A private graveside service will be held in Gilbert Plains at a later date. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Middlechurch for their excellent care and compassion.
