DONALD SINCLAIR August 1, 1942 - October 7, 2003 On October 7 our loving Husband, Father and Papa passed away at the age of 61 years. Don leaves behind his loving wife of forty years, Edna; his son Keith (Susan) his daughter Lana (Pedro) his grandchildren, Rosanne, Stan, Brett and Daniel; his brothers, Leonard (Patsy), Albert (Zeatha) and Jack Mallett; his sisters Evelyn (Dave) Stevenson, Jean (Dan) Buck and Val Bear; his brother-in-law Robert Bear; his sisters-in-law, Maude Sinclair and Janice Sinclair. Don was predeceased by his parents, Olive and Stanley Sinclair; his brothers, Ronald, John, Langford, Andrew and Wilfred; his sisters, Edith Bear, Winnie Sinclair and Jemima Wood. Don had a passion and dedication in promoting quality and standard education in First Nation Communities. During his career years, Don attended Red River Community College, Brandon University, University of Alberta, University of San Diego and Harvard University earning various degrees. At the time of his passing, Don was employed by Northland School Division in Little Buffalo First Nation in Alberta. Don was a very adventurous person, always ready and willing to take on new challenges, living life to its fullest. His career path entailed, fishing, truck driving, nursing, entrepreneurship, teaching, principal and superintendent of education. Don was also active in his home community before he left. He was involved in sports, his church and always helped in supporting the young people of Peguis Central. He was a Band Councillor, School Board Member, and Administrator. Don played an important role in the success of local control of education at Peguis in its early stages. Don was also a teacher in the ministry of God, displaying love, patience and understanding that remarkably touched the lives of many people in his journey. His life was truly and inspiration to all. Dons wisdom, love and compassion for his family, will always be remembered and cherished. Wake services will be held on Sunday, October 12 and on Monday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. All services will be held at the Peguis Church, Peguis, Manitoba. Pastor Glen Cochrane officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Chapel Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks for the loving care provided to their father by the staff and doctors of CCU and ICU on the 2nd floor of the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton. The family would also like to thank the Peguis Chief and Council and all the many friends and relatives that showed their love and support in so many different ways.
