Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE MARGUERITE WOOD Peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at 1:50 a.m. at the Health Sciences Centre, Marie Marguerite Wood passed away at the age of 68 years. Marguerite was born at Island Lake, MB on July 24, 1935, spending most of her life in Wasagamack. Due to ill health, she had spent the past three years in Winnipeg. Marguerite enjoyed the outdoors and loved the trapping and fishing life. Her greatest joy in life was working for the Lord and enjoyed telling others about her Lord and Saviour. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory husband Solomon Wood, six sons, Andrew (Sheila) Wood, Rev. John T. (Ruby) Wood, Aime (Brenda) Wood, Chief Cornelius (Mary) Wood, Noel (Gertie) Wood and Lawrence (Carol) Wood; five daughters, Theresa (Roni) Taylor, Ruth (Steven) Beardy, Arlene (Adam) Knott, Evelyn Judy Wood and Nordeen (Ronald) Mason; one sister Laura Jane (John P.) Harper; one brother Jack (Sophia) Mason; son-in-law Ken Latour; daughter-in-law Cynthia McDougall; numerous step brothers and step sisters; 46 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ethel Mason; one brother Edmond Mason; one sister Annie Mason and numerous step brothers and step sisters. Prayers were said on Saturday, October 4 at 9:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Sunday, October 5 and Monday, October 6 at Wasagamack, MB. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wasagamack Full Gospel Church, Wasagamack with Pastor Arnold Flett officiating. Interment to follow at Wasagamack Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre, the Dialysis Unit, home care workers and handi bus for all their care and compassion given to Marguerite during her stay in Winnipeg.
