Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMA HILL December 20, 1914 - October 4, 2003 Peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2003, Emma passed on to be with her beloved Charlie. Mom & Dad were a perfect pair, doing everything together and feeling each others happiness and sorrow. She anxiously awaited for summer and strawberry time. Mom loved to pick berries, rush home to clean them and then she and Charlie would hurry into Winnipeg to share them with friends. Emma was very strong and never backed down from a task, be it tending the cows and chopping the ice on the river to open it for them to drink, or taking in borders - two or twenty - it didnt matter. Everyone who knew her, Im sure, has a special memory to remember. Emma was predeceased by her husband Charlie in 1998; her parents, Hilda and William Milbrandt; and a brother Walter. Left behind to celebrate her life are sons, Bryan (Darlene) and their sons, Chad and fiancee Jennifer and David (Dustin) and Don (Mary) and their sons, Erin (Odilia), Kristjan (Viera) and Robert (Quinn). Emma had four great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Alica, Lucas and her namesake Katia Emma. She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Martha Milbrandt, Nell Hill; and brother-in-law Rudy. When asked if she wanted something, Moms answer was "thats okay, Ill have half of Charlies." Dad will happily share his "piece of heaven" with her. We love you, Mom. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, River Hills, MB with Pastor Don Reimer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her five grandsons and godson Bruce Braund. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at East Gate Lodge for the excellent care and kindness given to our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, Beausejour 268-3510 or MB toll free 1-877-776-2220
