September 3, 1946 - October 4, 2003 It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. After a courageous battle with cancer with his wife and family by his side. Abel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ann Courchene (Bruyere) of 33 years; children, Jacqueline Delane, Abel Keith, Megan Marie. Abels pride and joy his grandsons, Haiden and Storm; sisters, Sarah and husband Kenny, Merle and husband Jerry, Lisa and husband Rob, Gail and husband Morris, Valerie and husband Bruce, Beverly and Marjorie; brothers, Harold and wife Rita, Jim and wife Marilyn, Clem and wife Phyllis, Randy and wife Lily, Kelly and Garry; brothers-in-law, Robert, Adolf and wife Naomie, Gillis and wife Debbie; sisters-in-law, Audrey and husband Rennie, Mary and husband Fabian, Janet and husband Chris, Samantha. Abel came from a family of 16. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Martina; brother Sheldon; sister Patricia; his mother-in-law Florence Bruyere; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. Abel had a special way about him that touched the hearts of people who knew him. He was always there for anyone who needed his help. Abel talked from the heart and had a special spot in his heart for children. Many people were there for Abel both family and friends. The following people were a great support to him, Paul Lamoureaux, Cathryn Creed and Roma, Charlette, Chantal and Robert, Susan, Norman and Marsha. Abel spent his last week at the Pine Falls Hospital. The family would like to thank the Pine Falls Nursing Staff. All people are welcome to come to the wake at Abels home. The funeral will be Wednesday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Sakeeng Fort Alexander with Rev. Fr. Lavalle Cloutier off(ici)ati-ng.
