Date of Passing: Oct 04, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK NEILY It is with great sadness we would like to announce the passing of Jack Vincent Neily on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Misericordia Health Centre. Jack was born on May 1, 1915 and leaves to mourn his loss his sister Marjorie in Castlegar, BC, his nephew John and Melanie Hawkes, and many more nieces and nephews as well as many cousins in Nova Scotia. Jack was predeceased by many of his dear family members. Throughout Jacks life, he never let his handicap prevent him from doing what he wanted. For many years, Jack worked at the Marlborough Hotel, and where he retired. Jack was one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. For years he went to Polo Park to meet his buddies to have coffee and discuss world politics and sports, or whatever happened to be in the news. He made many friends wherever he went and was a well liked and very popular guy. After his hospitalization, in Seven Oaks, in July of 2002, Jack never did return to his home. Jack missed his friends dearly, but was very happy to occasionally hear from some of them. In November of 2002 he was transferred to Misericordia health Centre, where he passed away. John and Melanie would like to sincerely thank all of the staff at Misericordia Health Centre for their wonderful care and friendship they gave to Jack.
