EVELYN PEARL WELLEIN Peacefully on October 5, 2003 our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 86 years surrounded by husband Jim and family and predeceased son James Ross. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, Jim her husband of 67 fulfilling years; two daughters, Marilyn McArthur of Cleveland and Maureen Moskal of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Evelyn (John), Merrilee (Garry), Melanie (Matthew), Jamie (Helen), Maureen (Jason), Douglas (Jennifer), Carrie, Brandy (Joe) great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sydney, Robyn, Austin, Benjamin, Devon, R.J., Nicholus, Josh, Casey, George, Colby, Breanne, Magnus, Gracie, Taylor. Other extended family, Mike Moskal, Donald McArthur, Sean Clare. Evelyn was born in 1916 in Calgary, AB and came to Winnipeg as a child. She married her sweetheart June 26, 1936. Evelyn spent the last 50 years on Deer Lodge Place where she had raised her family. In her beloved home she also provided a Nursery School for 17 years for children in the area. In the proceeding years her and her sweetheart Jim spent their time developing gardens that have brought pleasure to many in their area adjacent to Assiniboine Park. Jim and family would like to extend many thanks to all staff at Grace Hospital for their kindness, compassion and T.L.C. to Evelyn and her family. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
