Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK LLOYD IRVING 1928 - 2003 Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2003 watching football in his favourite chair at home. He is survived by his children, Leslie (Geoff) Smith, and Doug (Sandi) his grandchildren, Denise (Vic), David (Cheryl), and Andrew (Tara) his great-grandchildren, Crystal, Stephen and Kelly; and his brother Bud (Val). He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Nettie; and his parents. Jack was a long-time Funeral Director in Victoria, owning Hayward, Thomson & Irving Funeral Chapel, as well as being the president of the Funeral Service Association of BC and the Funeral Service Association of Canada at different times. He was president of Gyro, belonged to the Masonic Lodge, and spent many happy hours golfing at Uplands Golf Club, as well as anywhere else he could get a game in. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra St., Victoria, BC on Wednesday, October 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, 1701 Elgin Road, Victoria, BC on Thursday, October 9 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Susanne House and Reverend Murray Ames officiating. Cremation to follow. Private interment of the urn will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined, those so desiring may make a donation in Jacks memory to the charity of their choice.
