LEOPOLD KUNDIH September 15, 1931 - October 6, 2003 Unexpectedly, Leopold Kundih passed away on October 6, 2003 in Gimli, MB. Leopold is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite; sons, Leo Jr. (Monika), Brian (Ruth), Tony (Suzanne) daughters, Dora (Lance), Lynn and Josie (Bruce) grandchildren, Tina, Crystal, Brydan and Jarrett, John and Dustin; brother Otto; sisters, Franciska, Anka and Draga from Croatia and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Gabrijela; his parents, Anton and Marija; brothers, Slavek and Ivan; sisters, Toncika and Lozika. Leo was born in Croatia and came to Canada in 1957. After many years of working at the Maple Leaf Mill, he retired to Gimli and then spent his time working on his hobby farm which included anything from tending animals to milling his own lumber. From this lumber he built the family home where he enjoyed entertaining his family and friends. He adored his grandchildren and took pride in the achievements of his entire family. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel with Reverend Stan Gacek officiating and interment at Green Acres Cemetery. Reception to follow. The family would like to thank Dr. R.C. Patel and the staff at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Gimli. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leos name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
