BARBARA SPEERS SWANSON MELOM (nee HICKS) On October 6, 2003, Bara of Winnipeg, MB entered her final resting place. Bara was born January 30, 1920 in Kidston Mills (Stobo) Scotland and came to Canada with her family when she was ten. She was predeceased by husband Jim (1984), daughter Wilma (1946), son, Gordon, daughter-in-law Sherry, and granddaughter Sherry in 1974, and sister Roberta (April, 2003). Bara leaves to mourn, sons, Clifford (Lynnette), Murray (Gae) grandchildren, Roselyn (Marty) Dusoswa, Troy Melom, Raymond and Jennifer Melom; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Trystan and Sydney Dusoswa; sister, Ada (Ed) Hohs; brother George (Geri) Hicks and brother-in-law Don McKercher; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a veteran of the R.C.A.F. (Second World War), a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Claresholm, AB and Winnipeg, Friendship Chapter #67, and the Trinity United Church. She will be sadly missed but not forgotten by her loving friends, relatives and family members. Goodbye "pid-a-pit-a" We Love you, Mom.
