HELEN ANN HINTZ 1931 - 2003 Peacefully, on October 8, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Helen Ann Hintz our beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away with her family by her side. Lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Donald; son Mark (Colleen) of Winnipeg; daughter Tracy of Calgary; sister Mary Swereda of Winnipeg; sister Francis (Robert) Bisko of Beausejour; step-sister Eleanor (Fred) Antos of Montreal; step-sister Joyce (Lawrence) Metelski of Winnipeg; also numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Emily (Kogut) Wazney; brother Edward Wazney of Winnipeg and brother William Wazney of Coquitlam, BC. The family would like to thank all our neighbours, friends and relatives for their support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank the doctors, especially Dr. Heywood and Dr. Lotoki, as well as the palliative care nurses and doctors for their kindness and support. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Winnipeg Humane Society. When family ties are broken And loved ones have to part, It leaves a wound that never heals And also a broken heart.
