ELSIE IRENE McKAY Peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2003 at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home, Elsie McKay passed away at the age of 90 years. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Marlene Carlson, Dianne (Harvey) Carter, Linda (Larry) Clark; and son Robert (Karen) MacKay; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also her brother Ronnie (Jean) McTavish; sisters-in-law, Margaret McTavish and Ruth Hodges; brothers-in-law, Alex (Florence) MacKay and Neil (Shirley) MacKay; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Stew; her son Keith Cuyler; her parents, Lizzy and Aben McTavish; brother Alex McTavish; and son-in-law Irv Carlson. Elsie was known for her beautiful smile, her great sense of humour, wonderful love of music both singing and dancing. Anyone who knew her loved her. The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude for all the T.L.C. given by the staff at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home. The care they gave to Elsie and her family extended beyond the call of duty. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Minnedosa Cemetery, Minnedosa, MB on Tuesday, October 14 at 12:00 noon. The ceremony to celebrate Elsies life will be held at Memories Chapel, 34-3rd Ave. S.W., Minnedosa, MB on Tuesday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Ankenmann officiating. If friends so desire, a gift may be made in Elsies memory to the Minnedosa and District Personal Care Home, P.O. Box 960, Minnedosa, MB R0J 1E0.
