RUBY HILDA COOK (nee BOULANGER) Peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2003, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Ruby Hilda Cook of Bloodvein, MB passed away at the age of 71 years. Ruby was born on October 19, 1931 at Berens River spending most of her life at Bloodvein. She enjoyed watching her soap operas on T.V. and visiting with her family and friends. She loved to cook and enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. Ruby had a great sense of humour, always happy and loved to joke around. She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her husband Harry of 53 years; daughters, Irene Rupp (Peter), Annette, Clarice (Charles), Denise and Bernice Runge (Jorge) from Germany; sons, Ernest (Margie), Johnny, Harold, Harry Jr., (Mona), Clyde and Ronald (Ruth Ann),; brothers, Max, Isaiah and Jimmy John; sisters, Jessie Keeper and Violet Ross (Joe) her mother-in-law Isabelle Cook, age 97 years. There are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ruby was predeceased by her mother Daisy May and father Isaiah Boulanger; her son Donald Cook; grandson Kevin Cook; granddaughter Collette Ladouceur; brothers, Harrison and Tom Charley and sister Annie. A wake service was held on Wednesday, October 8 at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Thursday, October 9 and Friday, October 10 at the Bloodvein Band Hall. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Alfred James Cook Memorial Missionary Bible Church, Bloodvein, MB with Rev. Menno Wiebe officiating. Pallbearers will be Clyde Cook, Harry Cook Jr., Ronald Cook, Johnny Cook, Harold Cook and Clifford Boulanger. Service will terminate at the church with cremation to follow. Peacefully sleeping, resting at last, The worlds weary troubles and trials are past; In silence she suffered, in patience she bore, Till God called her home to suffer No more.
