Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD ORLO ANDERSON After a lengthy battle with the condition of Alzheimers, longtime resident of The Pas, Cliff Anderson, passed away Monday, October 6, 2003 at St. Pauls Personal Care Home, The Pas, at the age of 88 years. Clifford Orlo Anderson was born Saturday, October 10, 1914 in Northern Alberta, to Swedish immigrants, Otto and Signe Anderson. Cliff grew up in Bangor, SK and Winnipegosis, MB. Prior to moving to The Pas in 1944, he worked in logging camps, as a fisherman on Lake Winnipegosis, and a fireman on the railroad. Cliff was employed by Booth Fisheries for 19 years followed by 16 years with the Department of Corrections, mainly as the Supervisor of the Egg Lake Rehabilitation Complex. After retiring at age 65, in 1979, he worked part time at The Pas Airport and spent the winters in Fort Myers, FL. Although well remember Cliff as a fish buyer and jail guard, his legacy is fiddling and his sense of humour. Music was always a large part of his life, and he enjoyed entertaining. While in St. Pauls he carried on this tradition with his violin, and also his wit! Cliff is survived by his wife of 60 years, (Moom) son Dwight and spouse Heather, Ottawa, ON; daughters, Lee Hopper and spouse Larry, Winnipeg, Lynn Boyle and spouse Harvey, Winnipeg; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred, Wilma, Ina, and Grace; brothers, Donald and Ralph. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Otto Anderson and Signe Anderson; brother Bert; sister Olga; son-in-law Michael Hopper. Cremation has taken place, and a private immediate family remembrance for Cliff will be held in the future. For all others who mourn the loss of Cliff, the family ask that you remember him in your own special way. "By George, Dad, were all really going to miss you". Cliffs family gratefully thank the entire staff of St. Pauls Personal Care Home, The Pas, for their compassion and sincere care which they provided over the past six and one half years. We would also like to acknowledge with thanks and appreciation the many family and friends who continuously took the time and made the effort to visit with Cliff during his long battle with Alzheimers. If friends so desire, memorial donations made to the St. Pauls Residents Fund, in care of Box 240, The Pas, MB R9A 1K4 or to Alzheimer Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 , would be appreciated by Cliffs family. Hemauer Funeral Home, The Pas, in care of arrangements. 1-204-623-3261
