He was pre-deceased by his father Andrew, sister June and nephew Ron. Rocky was born on October 23, 1952 in Rainy River, ON. The family moved to The Pas, MB in 1959 and Rocky went to school there until he relocated to Winnipeg in the early 70s. His work life was varied with a focus on social work with youth. He spent many years in Edmonton in this field. Rocky came back to Winnipeg in the mid 80s and continued his special style of youth outreach work through various social agencies. Many youth in crisis have been touched by Rockys care, counselling and advocacy. Rocky and Faye were dedicated parents to Alisha and Travis, offering support and participation to their activities and pride in their accomplishments. An avid sports fan, especially for the Montreal Canadians and Winnipeg Jets, Rocky spent many happy hours watching his teams. He also enjoyed golfing, gardening, music and summer vacations at the lake. A generous and kind friend and family member, Rockys sense of humour and hearty laugh added life to any gathering.
