JOSEPH (JOE) BUCK Joe was born Sunday, May 8, 1921 at The Pas, MB. He resided in Grand Rapids all his life. Joe was united in marriage to Dora Cook, March, 1943. Joe was a commercial fisherman and trapper for 60 plus years and he was one of the persons responsible for establishing the Grand Rapids Fishermens Co-op. Failing health made it necessary for Joe to become a resident of St. Pauls Personal Care Home, The Pas, September 2002. Joe passed away Sunday, October 5, 2003 at St. Pauls Personal Care Home, The Pas, at the age of 82 years. Joe is survived by his children, Elsie (Gord) Cymbaluk, Robert (Marla) Buck, Belinda (Norman) Schatz; grandchildren, Kerissa, Shelby (Scott) Kelly, Judi, Joey, Billy, Christopher, Michael; great-grandchildren, Chauntea, Edyn; brother, Aaron (Emma) Engen, The Pas; sisters, Dorothy Sanderson, The Pas, Mary McKenzie, Winnipeg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Joes family would like to thank Dr. Pinder and the staff of St. Pauls Personal Care Home, The Pas. They would also like to thank Dr. Lamba of Winnipeg who arranged to have Dora brought to The Pas to be with her husband. The wake service was held Friday, October 10 at St. Alexanders Parish Hall, Grand Rapids. The funeral service for Joe and Dora Buck is being held Saturday, October 11, 2:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church Grand Rapids. Interment will take place in St. James Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
