RALPH JOHN KOLT It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Ralph John Kolt on Saturday, September 20, 2003 in Ottawa. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, John and Olga (Pawlowski) Kolt. He is survived by his sister Bev Pancoe and husband Dale and nephews, Justin and Jaret and niece Jodie. Ralph will be lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends in Winnipeg, Ottawa and Edmonton. Ralph was born in Winnipeg on September 28, 1942 and resided there until he graduated in Chemical Technology with highest marks in his class in 1968. He was employed with the National Research Council in Ottawa as a Technical Officer. He furthered his education and graduated with a Masters in chemistry. He worked at NRC until his retirement in 1998. Ralph was a kind, loving, honest, generous and gentle man. You couldnt ask for a better son, brother, uncle, cousin or friend. Ralph was considered a "collector" all his life. His collection started with sports cards, books and records and continued with VHS movies, CDs and DVDs. He was a lover of sports and statistics and completed a detailed spreadsheet of the original 6 NHL teams which he was extremely proud of. Cremation and a memorial service was held at Kellys Funeral Home in Orleans, ON on September 25. A private family memorial graveside burial was held at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Winnipeg on October 2. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice. Rest in peace, Ralph and God be with you. Love your family and friends.
