COLIN PAUL MUIRHEAD
Date of Passing: Dec 31, 1969
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCOLIN PAUL MUIRHEAD Paul left us peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 43 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Joe (John) and Joie (Josephine) Muirhead; brothers, Keith (Gwynneth Gourley), Levitt (Sharon Doerksen), Don (Sherry) sisters, Marnie and Kathy (John Potter) niece and nephews, Peter, Abbey and Adam; sister-in-law, Ginny; and many friends. Paul was born on August 15, 1960 in Chapais, QC. He grew up in Lynn Lake, and later moved to Winnipeg where he was living at the time of his passing. Paul loved to work with his hands, and he was naturally talented at many things: he was a carpenter, a mechanic, an electrician, a painter, a cook - truly a jack of all trades. He combined all these talents at his one true love: the fishing lodges of the north. Here he was a lake guide, an out-post manager and maintenance man for the fish camps. Paul had a variety of other jobs, most recently working at Direct Auto in Winnipeg. He was generous with his gifts, happy to help friends and family with whatever improvements their home, properties or vehicles needed. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 15 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Anns Roman Catholic Church, 271 Hampton St., with Rev. Fr. Robert Polz presiding. Pallbearers were Messrs. Keith Muirhead, Levitt Muirhead, Don Muirhead, Peter Muirhead, Dave Geddes, and Blaine Davy. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of the medical Intensive Care Unit and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface General Hospital, with special thanks to Dr. Jerry Maniate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauls memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L OK6 or to Palliative Care, in care of St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Go in peace, Paul, with our love. WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
