"DON" MILLER 1942 - 2003 William Donald "Don" Miller of Calgary, beloved husband of Sharel, passed away at home on October 10, 2003, after a courageous battle with Myleodysplasia, at the age of 61 years. Don was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 9, 1942. After growing to adulthood in Winnipeg, Don married Sharel (nee Parker) in 1965. Dons career in sales brought him to the motorhome industry where he pioneered Outdoor Leisureland of Manitoba. In 1980, Don moved with his young family to Calgary where he continued to be a builder in the R.V. business. He passionately pursued his career and also his love for the outdoors. Don was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who thrilled at introducing the mountains to his family and sharing adventures with everyone. Don lived his life with integrity, loyalty, and he adored his family. Don is predeceased by his father Bill and is survived by his mother, Augustina (Teenie) wife Sharel; son Daymon; daughter Shaeney; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Carl Procuik; nephew Jared; niece Jennifer, plus many new and lifelong friends that have become family. Funeral services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAYS, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W., Calgary, AB), on Wednesday, October 15 at 2:30 p.m. To forward condolences go to www.mcinnisandholloway.com Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Unit 57, the Emergency department, and the Palliative Home Care Team of the Foothills Hospital, as well as the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for the care shown to Don.
