Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE ADDIE DAWSON (nee JOHNSTON) It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our beloved Mum, Addie, on Saturday, October 11, 2003, at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 90 years. Left with loving memories are her daughters, Donna Clark-Bell (Bruce) of Niagara Falls, ON and Carol (Terry) son Murray; son-in-law Peter Dielau; grandchildren, Robbie and David Bell, Tracey Bell-Aziz, Billie and Crystal Dawson; great-grandchildren, Taylor Bell, Meisha and Tess Bell-Aziz; sister Mildy Beggs (Jack), London, ON; and nieces, Lynn, Gail and Judy. Mum was predeceased by her parents, George and Isobella Johnston; husbands, Nicholas Dawson and Johnny Clark; daughter Junie; son Bill; brother George; sisters, Gladys, Isobel, Muriel, Eva and Lil. Mum was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 28, 1913. She enjoyed many happy years growing up with her siblings. The stories were great. At the early age of fourteen, she began work at Newmethod Laundry and then Quintons, to open their first shirt laundry. She later left to raise her family, which was her greatest joy and then returned to work part-time at Grace Hospital and Heritage Lodge. Mum loved to play jazz piano, listen to music and to Jitterbug. She was often thought of as a second Mum to all our friends and still is. Addies funeral service was held on Thursday, October 16 at 1:00 p.m. in Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Ave. at Belvidere Street. Her memory will always be in our hearts.
