She is survived by her son Richard (Marilyn) son Raymond (Sandra) grandchildren Kathryn and Derek; brother Babe (Betty) of California. She was predeceased by her husband John, brother Gus and brother George. Venice was born in Transcona in 1919 and after her marriage to John resided in East Kildonan since 1949 where she raised her family. She touched so many lives with her kindness and compassion. She was nurturing and loving to anyone who needed her help especially her family. Venice took great pride in doing everything to the best of her ability. She especially enjoyed her weekend card games with her long time friends and in-laws, Kay and Wally Sulyma, and Lorna Henderson, and also her weekly card games with her neighbours. She took pleasure in doing intricate knitting and needlepoint as a pastime, and was an avid Toronto Blue Jay fan.
