LANCE ELY CAYER 1955 - 2003 Suddenly on October 13, Lance Cayer passed away at the Concordia Hospital, in Winnipeg. Lance was born on December 12, 1955 in Roseau Hospital, Minnesota. Lance was educated in Vassar School, Ross L. Gray in Sprague and furthered his education in Winnipeg. On a stormy April 28, 1984 he married the love of his life Beatrice Klym, they have three beautiful children. Lance was a loving husband and father. He was well respected by his friends and family through his generosity and compassion for others. He was a true gentlemen and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Beatrice of 19 years and their three children, Vanessa, Devin and Brett. His parents Richard and Florence Cayer; sisters, Karen (Ghislain) Theriault, Deena (Jim) Meyer; nephews, Jesse (Michelle), Keane (godson), Jayse; nieces, Tania, Chantelle. He was a great uncle to Tyree and Shaunti and had a godson Chase Klym; also many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne in 1968l Mr. and Mrs. Ovide Cote Sr.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cayer and his brother-in-law Jack Meyer in 1998. The family wish to thank the Transcona District Paramedics and the staff at Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cayer Children Education Fund c/o Royal Bank-Rougeau and Regent. Prayers will be held Thursday, October 16, 7:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Winnipeg. Mass will be held Friday, October 17, 11:00 a.m. in Vassar, MB at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. His memory will always be in our hearts.
