Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA THOMPSON ENGLISH It is with deep sadness that the family of Barbara English announce her passing on October 13, 2003 at the age of 87. Left to cherish her memory are son William and wife Joanne; grandchildren, Sandra (Steve), Sharon (Glen), Jennifer and Kevin (fiance Heather) and six great-grandchildren, Rachelle, John-Michael, Sheryl, Kyra, Danielle and Ashley and sisters, Jean (Alf) and Molly; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg and was proud of an early career in hairdressing. It was while hairdressing that she met Dad who predeceased her in 1984. During their life together, Winnipeg was always home, with short postings at Portage La Prairie and CFB Wainwright. During their early retirement, they made their home at Hillside Beach, where they built the family cottage. She will be lovingly remembered for her interest and encouragement she gave us in life and the many crocheted items she made for each of us. Although it had become difficult for her to attend family functions, she was and will continue to be in our hearts. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Ashvin Shah, Dr. R. Narrandes and staff of 4E at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care and help to the family. Special thanks to Rev. James Fritsche for the support and help he gave Mom and our family. The funeral service will be held at Beautiful Savior Church, 1541 St. Marys Rd., on Friday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
