BRIAN WADE WRIGHT Suddenly on October 11, 2003 at his residence, Brian Wade Wright, aged 54 years of Winnipeg, MB, formerly of Ashern, MB. Brian was born August 22, 1949 in Selkirk, MB. In 1960 he moved with his family to Ashern where he attended school. In 1967 Brian moved to Winnipeg where he worked on construction for awhile. In 1969 he began his career with Manitoba Hydro working in such places as Gillam, Jenpeg, and Pine Falls. Brian enjoyed all sports, hockey, curling, the outdoors, hunting, but he especially loved fly fishing for trout. Brian was very artistic and loved to draw, and also very talented with wood crafting. Brian was an avid supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bomber football team. Brian is lovingly remembered by his stepmother Marjorie Wright of Ashern; one daughter Kristy (Kyle) Bartlett of Los Angeles, CA, stepbrothers, Bill (Kathy) Sutherland of Brandon, Brian (Sandi) Sutherland and Bob (Karen) Sutherland of Strathmore, AB; his fiancee Gail Brown, her daughter Jen and her son Jeff of Winnipeg, MB, also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Cam in 1970; his mother Verna in 1956; one brother Gordon in 1964, and his grandparents. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ashern Legion Hall with Rev. Melanie Kauppila officiating.
