PIERRE ANTOINE HOULE (BIG ANDY) November 11, 1931- October 11, 2003 Suddenly, on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Ste. Rose General Hospital, Andy passed away at the age of 72 years surrounded by his loving family. He had been ill with diabetes for the past 15 years. Andy enjoyed playing baseball in his younger days, playing for the Seals, Larkspur and Ebb and Flow. He was a fisherman for the Gillis family and worked with the CN Extra Gang. Andy enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising his nieces and nephews. Andy was special, in that he had a big heart in caring for all children, raising them as his own. Andy leaves to cherish his memory, his ex-wife Dorothy; his sons, Leslie (Tammy), Allan (Donna), Steven and Nelson (Debbie) his daughters, Caroline (Mark), Cynthia (Randy), Robyn and Debbie (Louie) his adopted son Richard (Edith) Lavallee, all of Ebb and Flow; his sisters, Marie and Helen Houle and his brothers, Joe (Rose) Houle and his auntie Jane (Joe) Catagas, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Andy was predeceased by his parents, Abraham and Marie Louise; his son Michael in 1999; his grandchildren, Cherish and Christian in 1996, along with his brothers, Edward, Roland (Jane) and his sister Mary Catherine (Joe). Prayers and a traditional wake will be held on Wednesday, October 15 beginning at 5:00 p.m. from the Ebb and Flow Band Hall, Ebb and Flow, MB. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ebb and Flow Band Hall. Fr. Norberto Monton will officiate with the interment following in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brian Mancheese, Gilbert Chartrand, Clayton Houle, Martin Beaulieu Jr., Leon Houle and Johnny Houle. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Davis, John St. Paul, Art Mancheese, Lawrence Garneau, Freeman Mousseau, Alfred Beaulieu, Clarence Houle, Sharon Houle, Ramona Sinclair, Angela Hunter, Marie Flett and Jeannette Houle.
