ANNE PAUK (NAFOSTOWICZ)
Date of Passing: Oct 14, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE PAUK (nee NAFOSTOWICZ) It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our loving mother, granny, sister and friend, Anne Pauk at the age of 88 years, at the Seven Oaks Hospital on October 14, 2003. Anne leaves to mourn her passing, her daughters, Pat (Joseph) Sobotkiewicz, Marlene (Ken) Martin and Valerie Pauk; grandchildren, Kent Martin, Joel Sobotkiewicz, Tricia (David) Draper. She is also survived by her sisters, Olive Nafostowicz, Sylvia (Ed) Goska; brother Alex (Loretta) Naften; sister-in-law Dorothy Naften and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas and brothers John and William. Our mother was a loving, caring, kindhearted, generous and hard working lady. We were very fortunate to have had her in our lives for as long as we did. Our mother worked in the garment industry as a seamstress her entire working life, retiring at the age of 65 years. Mother was the family seamstress as well; she sewed, mended and knitted for the entire family. Many relatives and friends received gifts of crocheted and knitted sweaters, scarves, mitts and slippers, whatever your request, knitting, sewing, crocheting, baking or cooking you could rely on our mother. Mother was fortunate to enjoy very good health up until July of this year. She was blessed with 23 years of happy, healthy retirement. Mother enjoyed bowling up until the age of 81 years. She truly enjoyed playing bingo, something she did on a regular basis. She enjoyed travelling, treating her grandchildren to a trip to Disney World on one of her travels. She enjoyed trips to the States, family get-togethers at Falcon Lake and weekly Sunday gatherings around the kitchen table. She will be dearly missed. When family ties are broken and loved ones have to part it leaves a wound that never heals and also broken hearts we had you close within our hearts and there you will remain to walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Deacon Nicholas Kohuch officiating. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annes memory to the Hope Centre Inc. P.E.A.C.C. 1745 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0E6.
