WILLIAM PASTERNAK Passed away suddenly in Calgary, surrounded by his beloved family. William is survived by his dear wife of 44 years, Anne; daughter-in-law Annette Storzuk of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Theresa and Dave McIlveen of Okotoks, AB, Trevor Storzuk, Tracy Hall, Tom and Carrie Storzuk, all of Calgary, AB; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Nicholas and Emily McIlveen, Emma Hall; brother Steve of Winnipeg; sister Anne Bodnar of Sandy Lake. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Catherine; brother John; sisters, Mary and Pearl and stepson Bud Storzuk. William was born July 18, 1921 and raised in Sandy Lake, MB, attended Rachham School. He left for Winnipeg in 1948 and was employed at C.N.R. for 38 years. He was a member of the mens club at B.V.M. Parish and was president of the church for two years. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree, Honorary member, now a member of St. Josephs Parish. Prayers will be held on Friday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Fr. Dmytro Dnistrian, C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stafford Shewchuk, Robert Pasternak, Bob Baril, Trevor Storzuk, Tom Storzuk and Les Storozuk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Williams memory to the poor or homeless, ie: The Canadian Catholic Organization for Development & Peace, 925 Strathcona St., Winnipeg, R3G 3G3 or the Winnipeg Harvest.
