JOHN SAWATZKY On Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre, John Sawatzky left this world to be with his Dad in heaven. John was born to Bernie and Pat Sawatzky and attended Lord Roberts, Grant Park, Churchill High School and Dakota Collegiate graduating from Dakota in 1997. John loved watching wrestling and playing trivia games and had a great love for music. He was also very active in wheelchair sports winning many awards in racing until his health forced him to give it up. John will also be remembered for his sense of humour and his strength for facing adversity head on. John is survived by his mother Pat; sister Carrie; brother Matthew; grandparents, Ben and Betty Sawatzky; aunts, uncles, cousins and his best friend Brian Wilken. He was predeceased by his father Bernie and his grandparents, Jack and Kay Holmes. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the MICU at Health Sciences Centre, the staff of 5E at St. Boniface Hospital, Pastor Rosalind Bradford and a special thanks to his pediatrician Dr. Grewar who took care of John from the time he was born until early adulthood.
