Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY HAYES (nee GOSHULAK) It is with profound sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Mary Hayes on October 17, 2003 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Mary will be sadly missed by her only son George (Linda) sisters, Julia Leswick, Helen and Olga Goshlak; niece Helen Leswick; nephew Dennis Leswick (Rosalie) and families, as well as numerous cousins and their families. Mary was predeceased by her husband Edward; brothers, George and William and Theodore in infancy. Mom was born in Winnipeg on February 9, 1920 and resided in North Winnipeg all of her life. In her youth, she participated in various sports, particularly softball, having spent 15 years with the C.U.A.C. Blues in the Senior Womens Softball League. Mary was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, having been involved in the Seniors Group, the St. Nicholas Choir, the Apostleship of Prayer and the Ukrainian Catholic Womens League. Throughout her life, Mom displayed many acts of kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity to members of her family and friends alike. She provided uncompromising support to my Dad in the operation of their business Redwood Motors and other business ventures. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 21 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with a Basilian Father officiating. Rosary will precede the service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Messers Mervyn Fitz, Walter Goshulak, Bill Verasky, Don Hart, Fred Pedruchny, Dennis Leswick and Len Kozak. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marys memory to the Preservation and Maintenance Fund, St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2X 1V9 or to the Seven Oaks General Hospital Foundation, Renovations to the Emergency Ward, 2300 McPhillips St., Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3. Special thanks to the doctors and staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital Emergency Ward, St. Boniface General Hospital Heart Catheter Laboratory and to the staff of the City of Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service.
