SANDRA (SANDY) MORRISON (nee WHITE) Peacefully with her family at her side Sandra lost a courageous battle with cancer at the Brandon Health Centre on Friday, October 17, 2003. Sandras memory will be cherished by her sons, Ron (Kim) and Mike (Verna) her daughter Valerie (Andy) grandchildren, Brynn, Matthew and Jared Morrison and Alana Hannaford. Her brother Jim (Maureen), and her sister Joan Kelly. Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sandra had many special friends - too many to mention. Sandra was predeceased by her loving husband Ron, October 2000; parents Bill and Mabel White and brother-in-law Pat Kelly. Sandra was born in Winnipeg on July 1, 1943. For many years she worked for A&P and later Dominion stores. Sandra and her husband relocated to Clear Lake where they owned and operated the first Chicken Delight. After a short time in Winnipeg they returned to Clear Lake and purchased the Mooswa Motel. Sandra was very fond of games and she often played with her friends and grandchildren. Ron and Sandra rarely missed a year without visiting Las Vegas. In the later years Sandra would spend much of her winter vacationing in Mesa, AZ. Sandra was very fond of animals, she had a pet deer that would visit her looking for the usual meal. Unfortunately her 20 year old pet cat, Annie, went missing just two months ago. You could always find Annie resting on Sandras shoulder. Sandra was extremely fond of gardening which was of great comfort to her. You could often find her sitting by her garden. She also loved to bake, and it wasnt unusual to have varieties of goodies to choose from, fresh from her oven. Sandra loved family gatherings with family and friends. A celebration of Sandras life will be held on Wednesday, October 22 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. at 12:30 p.m. If friends desire a donation to CancerCare Manitoba would be greatly appreciated. Mom we will miss you Love always.
