Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKIMBERLEE DAWN JONASSON With great sadness, on Saturday, October 18, 2003, Kim passed away at the age of 39. She is survived by her parents Bill and Dot; her brother Kevin; sister-in-law Karen; her niece Miranda; her nephew Matthew; and her constant companion - her dog Jordi. Kim was born in Winnipeg on May 6, 1964. She graduated from Murdoch MacKay Collegiate Institute in 1982. Kim was employed by Manitoba Health for many years until illness forced her to quit working. Kim enjoyed baseball, country music - especially Alan Jackson, and the casinos - watch out slot machines. Kim loved spending time with her special girlfriend from school, "the gang" from work, the mall workers, and her close family, especially Miranda and Matthew - her heart was weak but overflowing with love for them. Besides her immediate family Kim leaves to mourn her many, many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends too numerous to mention, all of whom held a very special place in her heart. Kim was predeceased by her uncle Donald Johnston; grandparents Jean and Johnnie Johnston and Halla and Fred Jonasson; and cousin David Peterson. "I could have missed the pain but Id have had to miss...the dance." The family would like to thank Dr. Verrelli, his colleagues and nursing staff, the nurses on 5B, the emergency, ICU and CCU staff at St. Boniface Hospital. A memorial service honouring Kims life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 at Transcona Memorial United Church at 209 Yale Ave. W. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Canada or the CNIB (Canadian National Institute of the Blind). "The best of daughters she has been, and many troubles she has seen. But she always had a smiling face, theres none on earth can take her place." "Goda nott Elskan" Goodnight Sweetheart" Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
