EARL KEITH CURTIS Peacefully, on October 16, 2003, Earl Curtis, aged 71 years, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Earl is survived by his loving wife Ria; children, Lori-Mae (Butch), Denise (Mike) and Michelle (Mitch) of San Antonio, TX; his so very beloved grandchildren, Brandy-Lyn, Haley, Anthoney, Kyle, Nicole, Hannah, Isabella and Ian; sister Gladys Gordon of Mill Bay, BC; brother Thomas (Evelyn) of Sioux Lookout, ON. He was predeceased by his father Albert Thomas Curtis, mother Florence, sister Muriel and brother Ralph. Earl was born in Sioux Lookout, ON on April 30, 1932. He was employed with C.N.R. 1952 to 1955, following which he was employed by Canada Post from 1956 to 1992. Prior to retirement from the Selkirk Post Office, Earl was actively involved in many community services and boards in Selkirk until loss of his sight, but remained interested in community affairs. The family wish to thank the doctors and staff of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit of the Health Sciences Centre. According to Earls wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Earls memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, CNIB or to a charity of ones choice.
