NORMAN JOHN PETERSON 1945 - 2003 Peacefully, on October 18, 2003, at the Concordia Hospital, our loving father and grandfather Norman Peterson passed away at age 58. He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Laura Baldwin, Kelly Peterson and Lisa Peterson; grandchildren, Brandon, Dixie and Austin Baldwin; sisters, Thais (Beno) Kofstad, Gayle (Art) Peterson; brother Cleveland "Pete" (Verna Lea) Peterson; and many nieces, nephews and extended families of Kofstads, Catelliers and Mehmels. He was predeceased by his father Cleveland Peterson; and by his mother Agnes (nee Christopherson) Peterson. Norm was born July 14, 1945, coming at an early age to Roblin, where he grew up and went to school. He was a very proud member of the U.S. Navy, which he had joined at age 16. Norm was a very outgoing person - he enjoyed socializing with his many friends. He also played hockey for many years with various teams. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies in Roblin and fishing with his daughters at the Whiteshell. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Rev. Mark Koenker officiating. He will be laid to rest with his parents in Roblin Cemetery. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
