FREDERICK JAMES McLEOD Fred was born April 7, 1934 to Mary Pinniger and Kenneth McLeod. Passed away Sunday, October 19, 2003 at the age of 69 with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Kenneth; sister Grace, and brother Brian. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 22 years Lucille; son Vince (Jan) daughters, Sandra and Patricia; his stepchildren, Kim (Ian), Christine (Cy), Lisa (David) Paul, Grant (Pat), Allan (Connie), Terry (Larry), Cindy (Glen) 20 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. The one who will miss him the most is his granddaughter and pride and joy, Jamie. They were inseparable and neither of them ever got the last word. Thank you Vince and Jan for being there for me right to the end. I could not have done this without you both. Thank you Richard from Freedom Elevator, you were Freds reason to get up in the morning. Thanks to special friends, Roger and Pauline, you were always there for him in every way and he loved you both for it. Special thanks to Drs. Mihalcioiu and Chowdhury and nursing staff. Dr. Garcia and nursing staff of the Riverview Palliative Care Unit 3 East. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making Freds last days and hours so comfortable, you all went above and beyond exceptional care. As per Freds wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Instead there will be a celebration of Freds life with a luncheon to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Branch #81, 300 Trent Ave., Thursday, October 23 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. If anyone wishes to make a donation in Freds name, you may do so to the Royal Canadian Legion Athletic Camp care of Terry Hutcheon, 50 Cameo Cres., Winnipeg, MB R2K 2W4, or Riverview Palliative Care, 3 East or a charity of your choice.
