JESSIE ISOBEL McLEAN 1914 - 2003 After a courageous battle with cancer, Jessie (Nettie) Isobel McLean (nee Williamson) died peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2003, at the Grace General Hospital. She is survived by her sister Florence Densley (Art) brothers, Vic (Lorrayne) and Ken (Bette) five children; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be lovingly remembered and missed by many other family members in Canada, Scotland and New Zealand. Nettie was predeceased by her husband Bruce in 1986; and brother Alistair in 1953. After raising her children, our mother realized her dream of completing secondary school and earning her teaching certificate. Then she embarked on her second career, teaching at Johnston School near Oak Lake and at Margaret Underhill School in Transcona until her retirement in 1977. Mother acquired a large circle of friends during her life and kept in touch by copious correspondence. A philanthropist, she gave generously of her time and resources. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Shiloh United Church Cemetery near Kenton, MB, where Mothers remains will be buried with those of her late husband. Our family expresses sincere gratitude to the Grace Hospital nursing staff for their compassionate competent care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Netties memory may be made to the Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me." So when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
