FRANCESCO ANTONIO TOCCI It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francesco Tocci on October 20, 2003. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Ines; son Amedeo Tocci and daughter-in-law Dawn; grandchildren, Christina, Angela and Francesco Jr.; his daughter Maria and son-in-law Richard Martens; sister Lina Petrillo (Rinaldo) his brother Fernando Tocci and Assunta (Italy) sister-in-law Francesca Tocci wife of his late brother Vincenzo; his brothers-in-law, Fausto Cesario (Carmelina), Ugo Cesario (Linda), Aldo Cesario (Lorainne), Ercolino Cesario and Franca (Kamloops, BC). He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews. Francesco was born in Santa Maria, Italy on December 3, 1928. He immigrated to Canada in 1954, where he found his true home in Winnipeg. Francesco had passion for his endeavours and all things he set his mind to do. He worked for Federal Pioneer Electric until his retirement in 1991. Throughout his life he displayed great kindness, love and generosity to members of his family and friends. He was blessed with a wonderful sense of humour, skilled story teller, he also loved to sing. He was a man of great strength, courage and a true provider for his family. Francescos deep love for his grandchildren, brought great joy to his life. He always shared quality time when in their company. He enjoyed spending evenings with his friends and sharing a game of cards. He was happiest attending to his garden for which he had much pride. He looked forward to his morning walks with friends at Garden City Shopping Mall, followed by meeting up for an evening game of Bocci. Francesco had great respect for all his friends and found great pleasure in spending his free time with them. Francesco (Ciccio) will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed. Prayers will be said on Thursday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. also in the church with Rev. Fr. Vincent de Paul Tchaoule presiding. Entombment will follow in Holy Angel Mausoleum. "Peace I leave with you: My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid." Special Thanks to the Staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Home Care Provider Manuel, for their care and compassion.
