MAY PATRICIA McINTYRE Peacefully, surrounded by her family, May Patricia McIntyre passed away on October 21, 2003, at the age of 88 years. Nana will be sadly missed by her daughter Gail Vrooman (Irv) her son Robert McIntyre (Eadie) grandchildren, Chris Fyfe, Cameron Barker-Fyfe (Michael), John McIntyre (Linda), and Kathy Drury (Sheldon) and four great-grandchildren. May was predeceased by her sweetheart, Bill of 59 years, her sister Kay Bodley, and her brother Norm Bodley. Of great importance to May were the many years she spent with her husband, family, and friends. May and Bill often spoke about their travels to Europe and more recently, their Alaskan adventure. She truly enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and always found humour in daily life. The family would like to express its sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Charleswood Care Centre for the kind care and attention Mom received over the past three years. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Brookside Cemetery. Rev. Mary Best will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or charity of choice. Her smile, laugh, gentle nature, and the occasional soft shoe will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
