JOE H. GUIMOND It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Henry Guimond on October 20, 2003 at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 59 years, Dora and his children, Annette, Rita, Elaine, Henry (Zelma) and Lillian (William) Courchene. He will be missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who he loved dearly, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Leonie; his brothers, Augustine, Sylvester, Solomon, William, Frank and sisters, Harriet and Margaret; grandson Joey Fontaine and great-grandsons, Dale Gregory and Little Rich and sons-in-law, Ron and Lou Bruyere. Joe began his work as a laborer at the age of 16, working at the dams in McArthur Falls and Powerview. He worked as a pulp cutter with Ambrose Courchene and Abitibi. He went on to become a journeyman carpenter and worked as housing supervisor for Fort Alexander until he retired at the age of 65. He was one of the volunteer committee members who helped raise money and built the St. Alexander Catholic Church. The wake services will be held at the Anglican Church, Fort Alexander, beginning Tuesday, October 21. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, with viewing at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Fr. Laval Cloutier will be the Celebrant. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Lawrence, Dave, Richard, Leonard, Claude, Rob, Louis and Chris. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandsons, Martin, Alex, Louis, Henry Jr. Mychal, Colby, Stephen, Mario, Donovan, Scotty, Garry Jr., J.C., Tyndall, Nicholas, William Jr., Logan, Darion, Evan, R.J.
