LANG 1924-2003 Suddenly on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the Stonewall Hospital, Lillian Lang, aged 79 years, of Stonewall, passed away. Lillian is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Frances of Calgary; sisters, Mary Inman and Florence Anderson of Stonewall, Margorie Knight of Balmoral, Jennie Broadfoot of Woodlands; brother Ernie Anderson of Winnipeg; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan (1996) six brothers and one sister. Lillian was born in Woodlands, Manitoba. After leaving home, she worked in Eatons Mail Order Department in Winnipeg. In 1950, Lillian married Allan. She loved to tell of their travels early in their marriage. Allans work took them as a couple to Africa. A few years later, along with four year old Frances they lived for a year in Singapore as well as Kuala Lumipur and the Island of Sabri in the Philippines. In 1958 they moved to Stonewall. She resided there until her passing only six days after celebrating her 79th birthday with her frequent coffee and lunch friends. Funeral service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, Stonewall, Tuesday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Kenn Garrity will officiate with interment to follow at the Stonewall Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne McDonald, Shane Inman, Russell Knight, John Palcat, Scott Sargent, and Cyril Inman. If desired, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
