Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL LILLIAN BALDWIN On Friday, October 24, 2003 Pearl Lillian Baldwin passed away peacefully at the Charleswood Care Centre at the age of 99 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Pearls memory will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by her three children, Russell (Lea), Adele Coughlin (Paul) and Norman (Barbara) as well as ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pearl was born in Meadows, MB on August 4, 1904, the eldest of nine children born to Charles and Hattie Clifford. She married Eli Baldwin in 1925 and spent most of her life farming in Starbuck with her husband. Pearl was an excellent cook and enjoyed having family and friends over for dinner. She spent many hours sewing for friends and neighbours, and gave sewing lessons. Pearl entered her sewing, knitting and canning in many fairs around the country, including Portage and Brandon, winning many ribbons for her outstanding work. She was a member of the Starbuck United Ladies Aid Group for many years. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Starbuck United Church, Starbuck, MB with Rev. Peter Mitchell officiating. Interment to follow at the Starbuck United Churchyard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be seven of Pearls grandchildren. Many thanks to the caring staff at the nursing home who cared for Mom for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Starbuck United Church or to a charity of ones choice.
