Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS IRENE BRYDGES 1916 - 2003 Doris passed away at the High River Hospital Nursing Home on October 21, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Allen; son Michael (Barbara) of Calgary; daughters, Susan (Kit) Grant of Calgary, Arlene (Brian) Bell of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Scott (Noelle), Katie, Ainsley, Stephanie, Joshua, and Emily, and her two brothers, Leonard (Mary) Bateman of Winnipeg, and John (Mary) Bateman of San Diego, CA. Doris was born in Winnipeg where she lived for sixty years before retiring to Duncan, BC with Allen, later moving to Calgary. She particularly enjoyed her involvement with crafts and sewing. In Duncan, she was a member of The Lace and Weavers Guild, St. Peters Anglican Church, and The Book Club. Known by all as a happy, friendly person who always had a smile on her face, she will be missed by family and many friends and acquaintances. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mavis Allison for her exceptional care and kindness, and to all the staff at High River Hospital Nursing Home.
