FRIEDRICH (FRED) ERDMANN On October 21, 2003, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Fred Erdmann passed away suddenly. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Rick (Mona) and granddaughter Terri from Grande Prairie, AB, Gerry from Whitecourt, AB, Bob (Jennifer) from Winnipeg, and step-son Louis (Laverne) from Saskatoon, SK, and also by long-time loving companion, Tillie Klymchuk. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Terezia in 1987 and also by nine brothers and sisters. Fred was born June 29, 1925 in West Prussia and immigrated to Canada in 1950. He worked in a logging camp in B.C. for a short time. He then worked for a major construction company in Winnipeg, following which he went into business for himself as a concrete contractor. Eventually involving his sons, his business became "Fred Erdmann and Sons Concrete Construction." Fred enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and spending time at his cottage with his family and friends. His sons were his passion and he was most proud of them and their accomplishments, and the recent birth of his first grandchild, Terri and becoming "Opa" made his joy complete. His warmth and unique sense of humour will long be remembered and he will be missed very much. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 27 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Marys Rd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Pastor Fritsche, and friends for their support. A special thanks to Brenda White. Our Father considered you to be like his own sister. Thank you for all you have done, you are an angel. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
