VICTOR ALLAN WADDELL Victor Allan Waddell passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2003 with family at his side, at the Lions Prairie Manor, Portage la Prairie. Victor was born November 19, 1921 to John Robert and Nellie Waddell at Sperling, MB. On November 19, 1948 he married Muriel Hunter. He served in the R.C.A.F. in the Second World War and then farmed on the family farm at Sperling. In 1960 they moved to a farm at Portage la Prairie until 1979 when they moved to town.. In July 2000 Victor moved into the Lions Prairie Manor due to ill health. He is lovingly remembered by his caring wife Muriel; daughter Betty Ann; son Terry (Ellen) daughter Kathy; son Bruce, daughter Mary-Lee (Brian) Chartrand; and son Rickey; along with six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Victor will also be remembered by his brother Wilfred (Joan), sister-in-law Olive, nephews, nieces and numerous friends. Victor listened to the simple message of the gospel told by two of Gods servants, making his choice to serve God in March 1949. He was faithful to his choice till his passing. A visitation will be held Monday, October 27, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. in the Herman Prior Centre, 40 Royal Road N., Portage la Prairie, officiated by Richard Knight and David Jury.
