A.R. (REG) WHEATCROFT On October 23, 2003, Mr. A.R. (Reg) Wheatcroft of Edmonton passed away at the age of 88 years. He leaves to mourn his loss, one son, Gerry Wheatcroft and his wife Dorothy Robinson of Kimberley, BC; two daughters, Susan and her husband Doug Thompson of Ardrossan, Faye Lucille Wheatcroft of Edmonton; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Bryce of Chatham, ON; a sister-in-law; Vi Wheatcroft of Toronto, ON; He was predeceased by his wife Betty in 1984 and by a son Roger in 1987. Reg was a dear sweet husband, father and grandfather. He served his country as a mechanic with the R.C.A.F. in the Second World War and worked for T. Eaton & Co. in Winnipeg, Prince Albert, and Lethbridge for 28 years. He also served his Lord as a faithful servant in many capacities with his church. He came to Edmonton in 1965 to open his own Lamp store. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Foster & McGarvey Funeral Chapel, 10008 - 103 Street, Edmonton. Rev. Dr. Gordon Oaks will officiate and interment will take place in the Glenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army or the Bissell Centre.
